How to Update your Web Page Listing
The next month or so is a good time to update your web page listing, to be ready for the new year.
Is your listing accurate? Did you know there is now no word limit in the 'Overview' section of your listing? Allowed are bold headings and text, and bullet and numbered lists, eg see Bridges Counselling. List specialised terms and phrases for services so you can be found in Google. We recommend no more than about 500 words.
For this or other simple updates, email them to listing@ccaa.net.au.
For more than simple changes:
- Open your current listing page on Find a Christian Counsellor
- Copy and paste the parts requiring change, into an email
- EDIT your changes
- Email to listing@ccaa.net.au
How to Create your Web Page Listing
Download a Template, fill it in, save it to a safe place, then attach in an email to listing@ccaa.net.au.
- Individual/Supervisor Listing - Template - Fill this out if you are a CCAA Graduate or Clinical Member, or a Christian Clinical Supervisor from another counselling association.
- Group Practice Listing - Template - Fill this out if you are a Group Practice with at least two counsellors, all professing Christians, with one already listed on Find a Christian Counsellor.

Good Reasons to List on 'Find a Christian Counsellor'
- It works. Some who list on Find a Christian Counsellor receive many referrals per year. Most visitors to Find a Christian Counsellor will come through an Internet search. As soon as someone searches for, say, "christian counselling melbourne" or "christian counsellors brisbane", CCAA dominates the page, especially in google searches.
- If you are already listed, try a google search for "christian counsellors suburb" or "christian counselling suburb", where 'suburb' is your listed suburb, town or city. CCAA offers a free listing while you or CCAA are NOT the top position for either of these google searches within two months of listing. Email webmaster@ccaa.net.au to claim your free listing.
- CCAA will give a significant boost to the search engine ranking of your practice website.
- The CCAA webmaster, David Bridges, offers a free search engine consultation for owners of web sites who have listed on Find a Christian Counsellor. Email webmaster@ccaa.net.au to claim it.
Who Can List on 'Find a Christian Counsellor'?
1. CCAA Graduate or Clinical Members
- You will have a FREE ongoing listing as a benefit of membership.
- See the Membership Requirements for how to be come a Graduate or Clinical Member.
2. Registered Clinical Supervisors
- Christian Clinical Supervisors can be from any professional counselling association.
- Listing Fee is $300/yr or $25/month if you are not a CCAA Clinical Member. Listing Fee is $450/yr for 2 locations, $500/yr for 3 or more locations.
- Criteria
- Complete the Registered Supervisor Application form to be recognised as a CCAA Registered Supervisor.
- You are a Christian in good standing, and can integrate counselling and theological disciplines, in line with CCAA Registered Member requirements. Registered members of APC are deemed to have met this criteria. Non-CCAA members may be asked to provide additional evidence. CCAA has the final discretion to decline listings.
3. Christian Group Practices
- This refers to Christian Group Practices or Christian Counselling Centres.
- Listing Fee is $200/yr or $17/month. Listing Fee is $350/yr for 2 locations, $400/yr for 3 or more locations.
- Criteria
- The Counselling Centre states that it has at least two counsellors, and all professing Christians.
- At least one counsellor in the Counselling Centre is already listed on Find a Christian Counsellor
- Centres may be asked to provide additional evidence. CCAA has the final discretion to decline listings.
